Pokémon Pokopia: All Materials & Crafting Chains

In Pokémon Pokopia, advanced materials like Paper, Bricks, and Concrete cannot be crafted at a workbench. You must use Pokemon with specific Specialties to process raw materials into finished products. This guide covers every crafting chain from raw resource to final product.

Bricks

High (50-100+ for early quests)

Essential early-game building material needed for Pokemon Center reconstruction and housing.

1Raw Materials

Squishy Clay

  • Rock Smash clay deposits on Bleak Beach
  • Paldean Wooper Litter specialty (auto-drops near habitat)

Auto-farm: Paldean Wooper (Litter specialty)

2Processing Steps

1

Collect Squishy Clay from clay deposits or Paldean Wooper habitat

2

Give Squishy Clay to a Pokemon with Burn specialty

Required Specialty: Burn

Batch: 10 input → 10 output

Pro Tips

  • 💡 Assign multiple Burn-specialty Pokemon to process clay simultaneously for faster output
  • 💡 Build a Paldean Wooper habitat near your crafting area for passive Squishy Clay generation
  • 💡 Bricks are heavily needed in Bleak Beach for Meowth housing and Pokemon Center rebuilds
First needed: Bleak Beach - Meowth Housing & Pokemon Center reconstruction

Paper

Medium (10+ for Team Initiation)

Required for the Team Initiation Challenge. Made from Wastepaper using Recycle specialty Pokemon.

Main supply is in the 4th region - Sparkling Skylands

2Processing Steps

1

Travel to Sparkling Skylands and collect Wastepaper from scrap piles

2

Give Wastepaper to a Pokemon with Recycle specialty, select 'Make me some paper'

Required Specialty: Recycle

TrubbishGarbodorMetangPorygonCinccino

Batch: 10 input → 20 output

Pro Tips

  • 💡 Each batch of 10 Wastepaper produces 20 Paper - a 2:1 conversion ratio
  • 💡 Trubbish is available early at Bleak Beach and has Recycle specialty
  • 💡 Stock up on Wastepaper whenever visiting Sparkling Skylands
First needed: Team Initiation Challenge - Thunder Badge (Challenge 3)

Concrete

Very High (200+ for skyscraper)

End-game construction material needed in massive quantities for Sparkling Skylands skyscraper rebuild.

1Raw Materials

Limestone

  • Abundant throughout Sparkling Skylands

Easy to find in the Skylands region

Iron Ingots (for Concrete Mixer)

  • Smelting Iron Ore in Smelting Furnace with Burn specialty

2Processing Steps

1

Find Conkeldurr (Tinkmaster) at the Skylands construction site generator area

2

Conkeldurr gives you the Concrete Mixer recipe (costs 2 Iron Ingots to craft)

3

Place Concrete Mixer near a water source

4

Add Limestone to the mixer, assign a Crush specialty Pokemon to operate it

Required Specialty: Crush

Conkeldurr

Batch: 1 input → 1 output

Pro Tips

  • 💡 Conkeldurr itself has Crush specialty - perfect for operating the mixer
  • 💡 Place multiple mixers near water for parallel production
  • 💡 The skyscraper rebuild needs hundreds of Concrete - start stockpiling early
  • 💡 Floors 2-4 of the skyscraper require the most Concrete
First needed: Sparkling Skylands - Rebuild Huge Building quest

Iron Ingots

High (ongoing throughout game)

Refined metal used for electrical equipment, advanced buildings, and the Concrete Mixer.

1Raw Materials

Iron Ore

  • Rock Smash ore veins (all regions)
  • Recycle specialty Pokemon converting Nonburnable Garbage
  • Hard iron deposits require Hamburger Steak buff to break

Eat a Hamburger Steak (4 Beans on Frying Pan) to temporarily power up Rock Smash for hard deposits

2Processing Steps

1

Collect Iron Ore via Rock Smash on ore veins, or Recycle from garbage

2

Place Iron Ore into a Smelting Furnace

3

Guide a Burn specialty Pokemon to the furnace to provide fire

Required Specialty: Burn

MagmarTorkoalCharmanderCharizardTorchicBlazikenVulpix

Batch: 1 input → 1 output

Pro Tips

  • 💡 1:1 conversion ratio for all ore types (Iron, Gold, Copper)
  • 💡 Glass is made the same way: Volcanic Ash/Sand/Sandstone in furnace + Burn Pokemon
  • 💡 Keep a Burn Pokemon stationed near your furnace for continuous smelting
First needed: Bleak Beach - Electrical infrastructure

Glass

Volcanic Ash / Sand / Sandstone

  • Beach areas
  • Rocky Ridges
  • Sparkling Skylands

2Processing Steps

1

Collect Volcanic Ash, Sand, or Sandstone

2

Place material into Smelting Furnace, guide Burn Pokemon to provide fire

Required Specialty: Burn

MagmarTorkoalCharmanderTorchicVulpix

Batch: 1 input → 1 output

Pro Tips

  • 💡 Same furnace used for Iron/Gold/Copper Ingots works for Glass
  • 💡 Needed alongside Concrete for Sparkling Skylands construction
First needed: Sparkling Skylands - Building upgrades

Lumber
